Under-Reamed Section Application
Designed for specific application in sections where a bi-centre bit or under-reamed tool is used. The open-hole has an enlarged diameter than that than of the previous set casing. Utilised where stand off and good cementation operations is of prime importance. The centraliser is designed to compress to the ID of the previous borehole of casing and expand fully, once the restriction is cleared to that of the over-sized open-hole.
Unconsolidated Weak Formations Application
Designed for specific applications in sections where the compressive strength of the formation is deemed to be weak. Gouging of the formation or sinking into the formation is undesirable. The pipe is to remain central to borehole to allow for optimum cementation operations. Ideally the best means to achieve such success is with a bow centraliser with specially designed bows.
Horizontal / ERD Section Application
The standard Centek centraliser is and was designed for just this application. The units offer, due being gauge, superior stand off. Units are flexible so as to traverse any tight spots which may be encountered on run in. Due to the high degree of stand off and a low ECD signature, flow by area is increased. This in turn offers a higher level of well clean out and enhances the cementing operations. Additionally as the units are of a single piece construction they are extremely robust which allows the operator to get "rough" with the tubular on RIH or POOH. Units do not have a tendency for damage.

The Centek Centraliser Development
Centek extensively studied all centraliser types available to define areas in which innovative thinking could perhaps allow for improvement. Working in conjunction with the likes of P.E.R.A., Cambridge University, Keighley Laboratories (UK's leading metallurgists) and other leading Industry authorities coupled with our own in-house expertise,we patented the Centek S2 single piece centraliser product range. The Centek S2 is manufactured to gauge thus providing maximum stand off without channelling. It is a bow spring design thereby allowing for flexibility when encountering tight spots. Yet due to it's single piece construction, robustness and strength are also incorporated. These elements represent the most significant change in the centraliser Industry in over 40 years.
In addition to manufacturing excellence achieved, a ‘State of the art' centraliser simulation programme was also developed with key parameters being torque and drag. As the simulation programme is recognised as being within +/-2% of accuracy we are confident that Companies adopting the results will run their tubular goods problem free.
